Methodology
We have always followed an eclectic method and blend aspects of modern linguistics with other traditional techniques. We emphasize the oral and communicative aspects of the language - but without forgetting that to master a language you need to work on the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Groups are small and homogeneous and this facilitates individual teacher-student attention. We analyze the needs of each student and offer the most suitable training.
There are different levels for children, teenagers, and adults. General courses consist of seven levels from beginners to advanced. Children and teenager courses are divided into 4/5 levels - depending on the age and level when beginning studies with us.
All groups work with a textbook and a workbook and - depending on their level - a graded reader per term.
We believe new technologies offer a marvellous addition to courses and we take advantage of them all: TV, CD, overhead projectors, and slide projectors. We have a multimedia room equipped with internet connected computers and a wide range of interactive courses on CD.
We are gradually introducing digital textbooks and whiteboards (IWBs).
We monitor attendance daily and teachers write a report on the progress of each student at the end of term. At the end of the course a certificate confirming their achievement and European framework level is issued.
